A Dutchman's Pipe species hailing from the Caribbean, this plant produces clambering vines sometimes between 4-15 feet in length, lined with distinctly three-lobed leaves similar to many passionflowers. Once mature and happy, plants may become loaded with blooms whose main sections are up to 5 inches long, comprised of an ovular, inflated base that constricts and curves up into a narrow funnel-shaped tube, before opening into a broad mouth and a "hood" that curves up and over into a long filamentous appendage sometimes twice the length of the rest of the flower. Blooms are usually speckled brown or tan on the outside with a maroon interior, looking and smelling like carrion to attract fly pollinators.Available plants are seedlings approximately 3-7 inches tall.
