Musa "zebrina"

Companion plant

A classic ornamental banana species capable of growing to around 7 feet tall. Long, sometimes more than 2 foot lance-shaped leaves fold out from the petiole-formed trunk, brilliant to deep green blotched or striated with various amounts of red on the upper surface (and often blushing reddish underneath). Quite suitable as a large container plant in northern climates, and can be grown outdoors in summer.Available plant is a semi-dormant root base division, with new growth just starting to develop on a new point. Best shipped at this stage before leaves become large and difficult to move.
